The Purpose of this Event
On April 10-12 we will bring together some amazing people to collaborate on the design of an event focused specifically on the strategic objectives of its participants. That’s right – we want individuals, companies and organizations to clearly layout what they desire and need to evolve their businesses.
Whether it be a start-up or a Fortune 500, whether it is a filmmaker, game developer or content distributor, we want to apply the social technologies we’ve evolved at TransmitNOW over seven years, through dozens of events, on three continents into a design tool that generates sustainability and prosperity for all stakeholders in our chain.
And we feel Vancouver is the right place to do this.
As many of you know from the last posting on our site, this initiative touches down on several key goals:
- We are working closely with the Vancouver Economic Commission and other key stakeholders to evolve this as an international event that is designed and hosted by fearless voyagers at the intersection of the Creative Industries and Screen Based Sectors.
- TransmitNOW has built a strong international relationship with the Creative Content and Digital Media ecosystems across the globe. Vancouver has the potential to define collaborative culture and innovative thinking in our space for the 21st century.
To get there, we need to ask ourselves some difficult questions:
- What type of large scale collaborative engagement will bring measurable value to such a large, disparate international community and how can Vancouver be the place for this every day of every month of every year?
- How can an international gathering create and facilitate a strategic framework that can measure real value at both an international and domestic level for all stakeholders?
- Who is our customer? What does the value chain look like across the creative industries and screen based industries? How have we evolved to better understand the demands of our market(s)?
- What do you want and what are you willing to do to get it?
Over the two days of the event, our process design team will work with everyone in individual and group settings to clearly articulate and synthesize the needs and wants of these sectors in Vancouver and across the globe.
